Can Rosy red minnows live in a fishbowl?

I don't mean long tern living I mean for no more than a week. I'm thinking about starting my turtle on fish and I don't want to put them all in at once so I was wondering if I could keep 5-10 minnows in a goldfish bowl. I have two if necessary. I would feed them, I have no intention of being cruel. Would I also need an air pump? I have one if necessary.
