If I leave school and go to community college do I need to start paying for my student loans right away?

I am currently enrolled in a Cal State University. I received no financial aid so I borrowed student loans in order to pay for school. If I leave and go to community college do I need to start paying those loans right away because I left the college where I received the loans?
